Registry settings warning when opening itunes

Many of you would have come across the issue with iTunes, that is whenever you open iTunes it through up an warning pop up as "registry settings". Here is step up step fix for this ITunes issue

Symptoms:

•"Warning! The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
•"Warning! iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CDs, you need to reinstall iTunes."
•"Disk Recording not found" (when an attempt to burn a CD does not complete).

Resolution:

1. Open registry editor
2. Go into the location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet -> Control -> Class -> 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318
3. On the right side if you found Lower filter , Delete that.
4. On the right side if you found Upper filter, right click choose modify and enter the value as "GEARAspiWDM"
5. If the upper filter entry is missing, right click on empty space choose new -> multi string value -> value name "Upper Filters" -> value data "GEARAspiWDM"
6. Now restart your computer.

Important Note:

You should always delete both the upper filter and lower filter from that location for  CD/DVD drive issues.
Don’t delete the upper filter, check for the value data only. If you delete the upper filter iTunes will not function properly.
